You'll need your passport, your driving licence and, normally, a printed copy of our hire voucher (some of our suppliers won't actually need the copy but we recommend having this with you anyway). And don't forget your credit card (or debit card, when accepted by the supplier in question).
If you have a major debit card (e.g. Visa or MasterCard Debit), yes, you can! Many of our suppliers will accept debit card payment, always as long as their extra cover is taken out. An additional deposit may also be required. Please note that cards with the indication 'For electronic use only' (e.g. Visa Electron) are normally NOT accepted. Payment in cash is not an option.
As payment conditions change from time to time, if you do need to pay by debit card please send us an e-mail and we'll get back to you with an up-to-date list of which companies accept debit card payment at your hire location.
This depends on the car rental company that you hire with. Obviously the company needs to have an office at both locations and allow one-ways between their offices. Not all companies allow one-ways. We include details of one-way options and charges on our quote page and the drop off location can be chosen on the booking form page (and additional one-way charge will always apply).
Easy, if you need to cancel your booking please just send us an e-mail. Cancellation is completely free of charge right up to the day when you are due to pick up your vehicle.
These days prices are pretty much constantly on the move and often our suppliers will, if demand is low, drop prices. This means that if you have booked a vehicle well in advance, a better rate might become available close to the pick-up date. The great thing about booking with spain-car-rental.com is that you're welcome to re-book whenever (as you can cancel the original booking completely free of charge). Note that if you would like to take advantage of a lower rate it will need to be a new booking rather than the modification of the price of an existing booking. So, if you see a lower rate, just send us through a new booking request and we can cancel the original one.
If you do need to extend the length of your hire after having picked up the vehicle, send us an e-mail. As long as the extension doesn't take the total hire period past the maximum contract length, and availability permitting, we will arrange the extension with our supplier and let you know how much is due to be paid. You will need to go into the car rental company's office to sign and pay for the extension. It is important that you have the updated rental contract in the vehicle.
Generally, our suppliers are unable to make local deliveries. Occasionally it is possible to arrange delivery from local offices. Delivery to accommodation from airport offices is never possible.
Yes, we can arrange long term hire but, as the maximum contract length with our suppliers is normally between 30 and 60 days, a period of hire longer than this length would need to be covered by a number of shorter contracts (with trips back to the car rental office to sign and pay for the following contract). If you need a longer rental it's best just to send us an e-mail with your requirements and we can let you know your best options (taking into account rate bands, extra cover charges etc.). It's all a bit complicated!
This depends on the company that you choose to book with. A few of our suppliers (Solmar, Centauro, Niza Cars and Goldcar) do offer a true 'full-full' fuel policy if booked at their full-full fuel rate. On our quote page you can see both the full-empty price and the full-full price, the latter being more expensive. The most common fuel policy with other companies is 'full - as is', with a proportional refund for the fuel left in the tank at the end of the rental (minus an obligatory service charge of around 25 euros). Please see fuel policy information for each of our suppliers on our quote page.
In the event of having to return the vehicle earlier than planned, it is always best if you can let us know so that we can warn our supplier. Some companies will refund for unused days whilst others will not. If the early return is due to illness, a medical certificate may be required in order to claim a refund.
